Need more digital inputs than your amp or receiver has? Want better quality conversion than your systems's built-in D/A converter provides? Or perhaps your older amp or receiver has no digital inputs, but you just can't bear to give it up... Here's the solution. Our TC-7510 provides four digital inputs (two Toslink/optical and two RF/coaxial) and two analog outputs, using a Burr-Brown PCM-1716 / Crystal CS-8414 chipset. A substantial metal case and universal voltage SMPS external power supply insure low noise, wide dynamic range and superior sound quality. The built-in 700mW headphone amp with level control permits private listening to a digital source while your main amp plays a different source thru speakers. The TC-7510 can also function as a stand-alone HP monitor amp for making fine comparisons between different digital sources or while recording. It's small, so it can add big flexibility to your system without taking up lots of space. Note that this DAC does NOT convert Dolby 5.1 digital signals to analog stereo; it is for use with PCM (stereo) sources ONLY. Before purchasing to use with a TV or DVD player, be sure to confirm that your particular model provides a PCM output selection option.
